Getiing an age related Plate (I know its been asked before!!

I know this has been asked many times, and I guess the answer is easy, but to sort my muddled brain out once and for all can someone confirm this please.

WILL THE FOLLOWING GET ME AN AGE RELATED PLATE. Oops went caps there...

1) GD supplied body and Chassis.
2) Jag front and rear axles and diff with associated V5. (self reconditioned)
3) New GD supplied Suspension components.
4) New Tremec gearbox.
5) Self rebuilt Ford 302 (all new apart from block, crank and rods)

Thanks guys.. Another stupid question.....

Hi Andy.
If you are using Jag suspension then surely anything that moves up and down is suspension (Not just shocks and springs) ie: wishbones, driveshafts etc. these are suspension components.
So claim that the suspension is Jag also and bingo you have the two required items to qualify for an age related registration.
any probs. ring me during the day and i'll explain further.
An open forum is not the place to go into too much detail.....You get my drift!!!!

I have just got myself an age related plate, and have exactly the same set up as yourself. The v5 for your donor components(jag) is handed in when you register, all I had to show the guy dealing with me was the invoice for the bodyshell and that was it,10 minutes later it was all done.
your allocated a registration mark same year as the v5 you provide
hope this helps drop me an e mail if need any more info

I know you have got a loads of cars through the SVA as age related and new {-} but to be correct, front and rear suspension is classed as 1 point.

And like me on Monday did you get free road tax. I did as the original donor was 1970! Is this normal or was I lucky? I got an age related plate.

Graham

So being classic car tax Will my log book say 2003 or 1970. I have already taken delivery of the classic silver on black plates. On they jolly well go.
