coolant additive for chevy engine

has anybody used a coolant additive like the one on the link to keep the engine cooler during summer motoring?
appreciate some feedback, ta. dave.

I used this stuff but have used it from new so not sure if it any made any difference really. Red Line Oil: Coolants and Others

Over the last few days it has been hot here in Sunny Surrey and whilst driving the gauge reads 80-85C and the fan dosen't cut in until stationary for a few minutes. Guess the coolant system works OK.

I use Water Wetter but if your cooling system is poorly designed it won't help much.
One thing to do is run straight water in the summer or as little antifreeze as possible. The antifreeze is a poor heat conductor.
Water is the best and the Water Wetter adds protection from corrosion.
Antifreeze protects against corrosion aswell but remember to use only enough of it in your mixture to protect against your coldest spike in the temperature.
I just flush and add antifreeze into the mix for the winter and run water and Water Wetter in the Summer.
