Exclamation Euro 427 Broken wishbone

I have discovered a fracture in the lower offside wishbone at the point where the shocker connects.
Any of you with Euro 427s (mine is approx 9 years old), check this now on your car.
Total failure of this part would cause a potentially nasty accident.
I am going to get the part repaired and both wishbones strengthened with a local racing engineer.
Thankfully it was discovered before it let go altogether and was probably causing the slight shake in the steering which prompted me to look in the first place.

A picture would be great if you're able to do one.

Pete.

I had the same thing on my Euro 427. The wishbone had a hairline fracture when it was supplied new. Fiero Factory replaced it, but I have always had my doubts about the part; it seems kinda lightweight for the purpose.

I'll try to post a photo of the part, although its now been repaired and 'beefed up' so hopefully it will be ok.
New shocker mounts have been welded in place made from 5mm steel.
Never thought to take a pic of the damage, doh!
