I don't believe any rep should "Ring around" We are all big boys and girls, and are more than capable of looking on the Forum to see what is happening. If we don't do that and miss something, then that is our tough luck.

Surely it would be easier for the reps. Also people could see if any events clashed.

Just my thoughts. In the last issue of the mag, people's views were asked for!.

The point is, despite being asked! Some area reps are not posting events to the calender! So you guys haven't a chance of knowing what is happening. How are we going to increase members if knowone knows what is happening?

Not at all Mark. Your sort of feedback shows exactly how the Club is failing it's members! If no one complains we don't know the shortfalls. The British are very shy of complaining! So we get served the same old s**t everytime! If No One complains nothing gets done!

Club membership

The existence of the CRC represents the cornerstone of the meetings we all like to attend and the website we all use. Unfortunately when access to these is not membership dependant there will inevitably be those that do not want to subscribe relying on those that do for their continued survival. This is a short sighted and unfair view. If it were not for the Club these meetings etc would not have come into existance. There needs to be a way to encourage owners to be members by denying access to certain things eg. areas of the website, otherwise, those that can get 'ought for nought' will!
p.s.
This last statement was certainly not meant to be a dig at our Northern brothers. They exist country wide!

I agree that the meetings should be the cornerstone, i attended the last 2 meetings in my area, the last 1 four people turned up and the one before 2 people turned up including me.
I however can see nothing wrong with knowing what i'll get for my increased subs if i decide to rejoin in January. If i approached the CRC stand at Exeter and asked what you get when joining the club what would the reply be?
I fully agree that there mustn't be any overspend, but i would like to know how that effects us as members.
All i'm asking for is an honest answer to an honest question, is that too much?

Hats off to all

Hats off to all those people on this web site who do things to keep this club up and running.
After reading the threads on the 2008 agm forum, I for one did not have a clue in what it takes finacially to run a club like this, and of course all the unpaid time it takes out of peoples private lives.
The membership cost of £29.00 seems a very reasonable price, and if that's all it takes per person to use the knowledge of others to help people build and run their projects, then i for one think thats good value for money.

( ps i paid my membership today)

Question

Having spent nearly all weekend at the Exeter Show, hopefully supporting the club, i realise that there has not been a reply to my question.I will therefore ask it again and hopefully get an answer this time!! What will I get for my money if i decide to rejoin the club next year? Answers like, people like me are the reason the club is losing members seems a rather strange reply, as does stick with it. All i want is an honest answer to what I consider a reasonable question, is that really too much to ask?
