I was told at the last meet. We are going in convoy next meet. We'll see just how quick you really are.

Or who's fastest you or Clarkson.

Unfortunately I will be in a 26 year old Land Rover at the next meet, so it will be Clarkson's ONLY chance to humiliate me

I sence a lot of bitterness around here lately, you guys must of overdone the lemon in your chicken last night.

Hey, how comes I'm getting dragged into the conversation??

I don't want to be held responsible for Noel twisting his own chassis trying to keep up with me!!!

Anyway I have nothing to worry about as that old Ford diff will be cream cheese very soon!

why be a member

It's comments like all of this on this thread. Nothing to do with how it started. Some have nothing better to do/say than hear hear or other rubbish hijacking the question asked in the first place(and usually by the same people). So I stopped using it. I joined with bags of enthusiasm 5 years ago. Went to the shows (Stoneleigh, Newark, Harogate, Peterborough). Started going to the local ( not local for me though) meets. Met some Really nice people, usually new to the club like me. With the exception of a few ( Tony, Martin & Helen) the rest were very clicky to the point of down right rude. Not the friendly, welcoming club I thought it was. So,now I ask myself, Why be a member?

Hi Wayne, really sorry that you did not get the most from the regional meet, hope that you will give us another try so that we can make you more welcome. Sorry if it looks a bit clicky at times but you always be welcome especially if you have a problem that you need help with. Hope to see you again soon.

I go to the E Mids meets when I can and have never refused to talk with anyone. Indeed have done my best to help out quite a few people over the years. But people DO have to make the effort to start the conversation, we are not professional "greeters" and of course there are a few people I know well and like to have a yarn with - is that a clique?
