Planning the dash for SVA

I have re-read my SVA guide but have a few problems trying to spec my dash, namely:

1) When I switch the side or main lights on, my dials will illuminate, but do the switches need to?
If they do, does anyone have a bank of illuminated switches they want to sell?

2) When the fan comes on, does it have to have a tell tale warning light in amber?

Cheers

1) No

2) No.

The warning lights you need for SVA are, Indicator, Hazard, Hi-Beam, Brake Warning (Which must have the recognized symbol) and Rear Fog Light.

Phew! Cheers Clive.

Don't suppose you know if both green warning lights flashing when the hazards are on counts as a 'tell tale' for the hazards?

Sorry about this!

SVA Manual Section 9-1
The indicators do not need to have two different warning lights. In fact the indicator warning can be either audible or visual (I have only one indicator warning light) although on a Cobra, I don't think an audible warning would be much use!
"The hazards must have an operational "Tell Tale" device.
Note: The "Tell Tale" device must be in the form of a flashing light which may be the same lamp as the direction indicator "Tell Tale""
