Angry Suitable harnesses

Typical in the struggle to purchase nice kit which will pass SVA I am having problems with harnesses now!

I would like a twist buckle which I can upgrade with a crotch strap if the car ends up on the track a lot.

1) Can anyone tell me if there is any twist buckle which passes sva protrusion rules etc?

2) Is there a way of getting fia or sfi approved harnesses past sva, eg, a letter explaining that fia is a superior spec to ec approved, and where can I get one?

cheers gents

Iain has just passed his SVA with the normal Sabelt harness fitted with the twist release on. They are correctly marked and will take a crutch strap if you wanted to fit one. HTH

Dax supply Willans harnesses that are fully SVA compliant and have the crotch strap facility if needed.

The Dax ones are only road legal marked but I'm sure they could make equivalent ones to whatever spec you need.
Shoulder straps have to be 3" wide for FIA approval.

Sabelt or Dax it is. I'll call them tomorrow.
I doubt I'll ever need the fia approval, it's just that some harnesses have fia but not ec approval, and fia ones are tested to a higher spec!
Thanks gents.
