Medway “Posh Car Meet” - Thursday 18th September

Hello guys, I am here to tell you about the Medway “Posh Car Meet”:

Venue: The Hungry Fox
Hempstead Valley Drive Hempstead
Gillingham Kent
ME7 3PE

Tel: 01634 387552

Thursday 18th September 2003, from 7.30pm ‘til 11.00pm.

The general ethos of the evening is simply many different marques of cars (TVR, Lotus, Porsche, Caterham, ((Cobra!)), Westfield, and perhaps a few others) simply getting together to share a common interest. Hopefully, by the looks of the weather at the moment, it will be a glorious night for it - but if the worst does come to the worst, the pub is very big and so will certainly house us all.

There will be half of a big car park portioned of for us, so it will only be our cars in this area – I am sure many people will be glad to hear that!!

I will probably be going with my dad Peter in our Caterham, so we will hopefully meet some of you during the evening.

*** Directions: From M2 Jct 4 (Gillingham junction) ***

– (M2 is easily accessible from M20: exit at Jct 6 of M20, proceed up Blue Bell Hill (A229) and follow signs at top of hill for Dover bound M2)

Exit from slip road, and continue to large roundabout 400m ahead.

Turn Left at the roundabout

Continue for another 500m (you’ll pass a petrol station which is part of a large shopping complex)

Turn RIGHT at the roundabout

Continue straight until you reach another roundabout (you will now see the Hungry Fox pub)

Turn RIGHT at the roundabout and then into the car park.

*** Directions: From A2. ***

From A2 Bowater’s Roundabout (large Tesco’s). (Big roundabout with traffic lights all the way round)

Proceed up the link road (A27 (turning right if coming from Gillingham, turning left if coming from Rainham).

Continue straight on at the first roundabout.

Turn RIGHT at the next roundabout

Continue for another 500m (you’ll pass a petrol station which is part of a large shopping complex)

Turn RIGHT at the roundabout

Continue straight until you reach another roundabout (you will now see the Hungry Fox pub)

Turn RIGHT at the roundabout and then into the car park.

Please see below a www.streetmap.co.uk shot of the surrounding area. The motorway junction you see is M2 jct 4.
