| SVA Manual, Web Version I have agreed, subject to permission from the VI, to publish key parts and updates of the manual on the web. Interestingly the VI are out of stock until Jun 01 at the earliest. Cost is now £25 plus a massive £9.95 for posting. The good news is that they are considering allowing publication on the net. They may charge for this but I would then ask that they supply it in an electronic format. Q1. Would the club be prepared to cough up the cash, obviously depending on how much they think they can rip us off for? Q2. Which bits of the manual do people consider to be 'key' and therefore put on the net first? Mike |

| RE: SVA Manual, Web Version That is a brilliant idea and would make a superb web resource. Publish as much as can be negotiated, although 'engines' are a good start. Then maybe interior fittings, stuff on radii, lamp heights?? I wonder if it would be more attractive to them if it were only accessable to members, (like the posting facility) so that permission wasnt being granted to all and sundry? Just a thought. |

| RE: SVA Manual, Web Version Mike As discussed, this will go ahead with buy-in from the club. If you can get the necessary permissions worked out with the Inspectorate etc. I have provisionally created a new directory for this all to sit under and it will be password protected using members surnames and membership number, with the membership number being the username and the surname being the password. If you can get back to me soon, we can have something up. In the interim, if anyone has any hardcopy documents relating to SVA, can they forward them to me and I can start it going, my phone number is in Snaketorque if you need to get hold of me. | RE: SVA Manual, Web Version There are 21 section and about 140 pages to the SVA manual I know I bought one and then paid another nine pounds for the suppliments . As you can fail on any section they are all important. It a great Idea to have a SVA section and all help each other with tips and interperations etc, but come on guys if you can afford to build a Cobra replica you can afford a manual. Its gonna take a lot of time and effort to scan in a manual. |

| RE: SVA Manual, Web Version Bob We can get hold of the manual electronically, saving the time re scanning. How useful have you actually found the SVA manual? Robert Cobra Club Web Bloke with a Supercharged GD!

| RE: SVA Manual, Web Version I am finding it really usefull. you can look up the part you are doing . It explains the test how it will be tested and reasons for failure. I think it was a good investment. |

| RE: SVA Manual, Web Version All the more reason to pester the VI ( politely) It is out of print for at least 5 weeks. To update you all on a Web version. They are reticent as they say they intend to do it themselves. Oh good I here you say, when will that be then? Oh about three years. To think I once was part of on Implementation Project Team that set up an Agency. Come to think of it that ones useless to. Pick up the phone and moan. x( Mike |

| RE: SVA Manual, Web Version OK so what's the latest on this subject? looks like it died in April. My SVA is looming and I'd find this sort or info a great help. Are there any SVA centres that are Cobra friendly? My local is Leighton Buzzard, any one have any feedback on that one? Cheers. Martin |
