Interior Trimming/Finishing - Who can I get to do it?

Advice please..............
I have just moved to SW Oxfordshire (Wiltsire border) can anyone help with recommending a nearby trimmer who can finish the interior of a Dax?
I have the seats done but need full cockpit carpets, door panels and the dash doing properly (its there but not neat and tidy),doors need seals, cockpit surround etc.
Mike Broad at Magnum did some work for me in the past and I could go back to him - but his expertise is in the build up not the trimming.
Would prefer to use a place recommended by others.
Thanks - Jon

RE: Interior Trimming/Finishing - Who can I get to do it?

I amongst others, including Russ Ram and Dax themselves for their demonstrators, used The Trimshop in Redditch. ( 01527 598488 )
Excellent work and quality, and very reasonable following a bit of negotiation.

Cheers,

Tony

Thanks for advice - I will give them a call this week to see what they quote - but I guess they will want to see the car first.
What is the damage likely to be for carpets, dash, surround and door panels - just so I know I am paying the right money!

RE: Interior Trimming/Finishing - Who can I get to do it?

Jon,

I'm in the same boat as you I think, looking for the best price/quality.

From what I've seen so far expect to pay around £600 for the leather and another £250 for carpets.

This is normally supplying the dash and seats. But some already have the templates for certain models so don't need to see your car.

That is unless someone else tells me otherwise

My short list to call are:

Doug Sutton - 01733 701921
Trimshop - 01527 598488
M+MD - 01775 640423
Neil Tadman - 01702 527964
Woolies - 01778 347347

Regards

Michael

RE: Interior Trimming/Finishing - Who can I get to do it?

Jon,

For the seats ( I supplied the shells), door panels, transmission tunnel ( including a stowage bin with lid behind the gearlever) dashboard, handbrake gaiter, seat belt gaiters all the above in excellent quality leather, all carpets inside car , including boot which needed quite a bit of work as I've panelled in the fuel pump, under dash panels also carpeted ( hides all the electrics and SVA friendly) and all expertly fitted £800 cash ....a bargain I would say.

I also got a Dax hood fitted to my AK minus the sidescreens, which I want to sort out for myself, for £450 with all the hoodbows etc.

Hope thats of some use,

Cheers,

Tony
