RE: aero screens

Hi and welcome to the forum.

you are correct Rob has used them but I believe he a little tired of picking the flies from his teeth, so they didn't stay on long.
Rob had them on at elvington this year, they look great but as for practicality I'm not sure.

I'm sure Rob can give you the gory details.

RE: aero screens

Aero screens are fine if you wear a helmet, but the flies and other things can be quite painful at any speed over about 40.

Hearing tends to got to pot after a run out, and your hair never recovers from the shock of being torn from its roots.

RE: aero screens

Thanks for the info,the screens are for competition only.One guy down at Brighton took his windscreen off altogether then drove sixty miles to compete said it was the worst drive of his life!.
If you could let me know where you got them/it from i would be grateful. cheers andy.m.:tu

RE: aero screens

They were wrap around ones made by GD. They do sell them at Europa though.

RE: aero screens

Hi Kev, Your right,you arn't the only one who had trouble.I lost five cyliders and valves,the block was trashed and the sump had two big holes in it.
Rebuild cost £4,500 x(.Plus the engine builder would not guarantee it unless he fitted it.New Tony Law exhaust system so it can breath properly,all in all about £6,500.I went for the power and now i've got the bills.
All in the persuit of speed{-}
Cheers andy.m.
