Dax open day

I am going to the Dax open day on saturday. If I like what I see I will be ordering my chassis and module pack 1 and the brake kit. Could anybody tell me what to expect as this will be the first time I have been to visit a manufacturer, (I have spoke to them all at kit car shows) and been to an open day.

Cheers

Lee

PS I have just finished stripping down my front suspension and I am about to start on the rear suspension. If building a kit car is as much fun as stripping down the jag donar parts, I am in for a great deal of fun!!!

RE: Dax open day

Lee,

Like most kit car manufacturers (i think) there space is limited. They have a small showroom which last weekend had 4 cars in it and it was tight, this area also houses the shop/spares counter.

The actual workshop is much bigger and you'll see it's laid out in sections, chassis/body/build up.

I have found the guys to be very friendly and helpful. Try to get a test ride in their demo too, I don't think you'll be able to leave without buying one then Well I couldn't anyway :P

Mail me and I'll give you some tips for the chassis.

Who else is going and at what time of the day, I hope to be there around 11.00 ish.

Michael

RE: Dax open day

I'll be there................As usual.
:tu

If the weather is good there will be a shed load of cobras down one side of the road and a shed load of rushes down the other with lots and lots of people mulling about looking at cars and talking to one another............Oh' and some refreshments.
Most people there will have been to an open day before, so from that i would assume that they enjoy it, i know i do and i can tout for a bit of business aswell.}( }( }(

So Dave,

How will we recognise you

Will you have a newspaper under one arm and a carnation in your button hole?

Seriously, would like to say hi and pick your brain a bit.

RE: Dax open day

Hi Michael.
If it's warm enough i'll be wearing a black polo shirt with DB REPLICAS printed on it, otherwise ask any of the Dax staff to point me out.
See ya' there.

Well you won't miss me, I'll be the one carrying the baby in car seat everywhere I go:P

At least it'll win the wife over and score some browny points for time in the garage when the car turns up

RE: Dax open day

Hi Rodders

I did speak to you, it was really early on. I told you that I had traveled from near Liverpool. If I remember correctly your car was the one built by DB Replicas and had head rests. You told me to go and see Gary and get a test drive, I did, and I was smiling all the way back up the M6. What an amazing feeling going sideways down the road and roaring along the country lanes. I have to say that I found all of the Dax people very approachable and where willing to answer all of my questions to the best of their ability. Oh yes I did order my chassis before I left for home.
I look forward to speaking to you again in the future.

Cheers

Lee
