2 post lifts

Does anyone out there have a 2 poster lift in their garage?
As i am lucky to have the clearance in my garage i have been thinking of having one installed in the new year.
Any recomendations or advise.
Working on my flat at the momment but when its finished i aim to reward myself with a new toy,a lift.

just think no more crawling around on the floor!!

Kev,
Yup got a 2 post in workshop, brilliant tool should have got one years ago. The GTE 2500 is more than adequate for normal sized motors.

RE: 2 post lifts

Hi Jim,
Last time I priced one up they where £2600 but luckily I found an almost new one for £700. Hofmann used to have prices on the w/site but it looks like you have to mail them now.
Looked at Machine Mart etc and they do lifts that are cheaper but I found this so I went for it.

RE: 2 post lifts

Hi Kev,
Yup fitted it myself no probs really if you have a good sound concrete floor I used Ramset bolts to hold it down, these are a long threaded bolt which is held in to the concrete by an resin type stuff.
Drill the holes to size then you place a test tube type thing which contains the resin in the hole you then place the stud/bolt in the hole tapping it in with a hammer this smashes the tube, then with an allen key that you insert in the end of stud and rotate it for a short while this mixes the resin up depends on temp how long it takes to set I left mine for 24 hours then it was rock hard tightened the nuts down and all was fine.
Cos I am on 3phase I got a sparky to wire it up that was it.
