Delta switches

Hi

I'm trying to find a 3 position (off, on 1, on 2) delta switch to operate my Granada interior fan. The 2 "on" positions need to be unlinked. A four position switch would be terrific as its a 3 speed fan but I can't find any delta switches that are 4 position.

The Europa fan switch is sadly linked.

Anyone know of an alternative source for the Delta Switches

Cheers

David

RE: Delta switches

David

I got my 3 position unlinked heater switch from Merlin Motorsports.

Don't know what you mean by Delta switch, but if you look in the Gallery, there is a picture of my dash showing the switches.

RE: Delta switches

David,
You only need the unlinked type switch if the motor has an offset brush as the means of speed control, as wiper motors do.
(most heater motors use a resistor to drop the speed)
If this is the case, you could use a wiper switch, just ignore the park circuit terminal.

If your motor uses a resistor to control the speed, it does not matter if more than one feed is made to the resistor, as the connection for the highest speed will "take over"
In this case you could use the Europa Delta switch.

The GD blower is like this, available speeds 1 and 3 are connected to the switch positions 1 and 2.

Simon.
