| Wheel size choice Just getting to the stage where I need to order some wheels. Think I'm going for 17" wheels, but I'm sure I've seen a picture of a Cobra with 18" Halibrands and it looked pretty good. Has anyone got any pictures of a Cobra with 18" wheels fitted ?:sm |

| RE: Wheel size choice I've seen one Cob with 18" wheels on and to be honest I didn't notice they were 18"s until I looked closely. I'd assumed that they were 17s. Extremely low profile tyres are going to give you a hard ride and some problems with tram lining etc. I have 17" on mine and I'm quite happy with them. http://animatedgif.net/flags/-flags-uncat/Wales.gif Kev Davies Dax, 383ci Chevy Stroker, Tremec TKO South Wales

| RE: Wheel size choice I'll go with Kev here, I saw the Dax big block car at the weekend and it was only by fluck that I noticed they were 18's. Also, having run 18's on another car with very low profile tyres, yes it was somewhat harsh. I got used to it but the wife never did!! Michael |

| RE: Wheel size choice Attached is a rear/sied view of Harald Hentschels car - he is Chair of the German CRC and runs 18" wheels. They look slightly more extreme than the 17" versions. Me, I am a 16" fan! You pays yer money and makes yer choice as they say.

| RE: Wheel size choice Attached is a pic of the famous Dave Brookes DAX hardtop with 18" wheels. I must agree far better handling and ride with 16" wheels. COPYRIGHT APPLIED FOR. {-} {-} {-} {-} {-}

| RE: Wheel size choice Hiyaaaa, 15, 16,17..... Go for 18' the dax demonstrator had 17' on and the ride was fine. i am told the 18' have a similar profile tyre as the 17' 40' on the back and 45' on the front or something like that. The Dax had a great ride. 30 mins round the block on different roads and felt very comfortable. 18' a more pricey but hey... Yum Paul
