Hard tops

I spoke with AK today about their hardtop and was told that because they are working on a new body mould (foolishly I didn't ask why:} ) they won't be looking at doing any more work on their hardtop until next summer . They say they've made one from a mould and need to do the fitting properly and take a second mould of the re-worked one as a final to sell to us. The suggested price was £1000 - should be worth waiting for and maybe it'll even fit the DAX

Mark, they are making a new mold to replace the old one as it is getting ( gotx( x( ) rather tired. Ken is also taking the opportunity to make some small changes to the shape, to even up the door's and make the body more uniform from one side to the other.

Andy, hope you weren't taking comments on engine power the wrong way. Was just making a point of saying mine didn't exactly do what it was supposed to, but was definately worth the rolling road investment to get it closer than what it was.

I'm sure yours is close but until you RR tune it you wont really know. Observation and advice from my own experience, not having a dig lad! Yours is still quicker than most/many so I wouldn't worry!!! ha ha ha ha{-} {-}

Sounds great - I'd have thought the replica makers would have cottoned on sooner - given our weather and a lot of us are prepared to drive them and enjoy them in the rain.

Andy

There was a discussion beginning here http://www.cobraclub.com/crcforum/dc...2&page=2#25022 - the other day though it was brief.

It should arrive soon, so it'll be an early Christmas present - can't wait to unwrap it
