Pilgrim ReBuilt

I’m now starting the process of rebuilding my old company!

For those new to the topic, Pilgrim Cars UK Ltd went into administration on Tuesday 7th October 2008. There’s a massive PIlgrim RIP? thread dealing with that news as it broke.

I was the successful bidder who managed to purchase the pitiful remains of the company from the receiver. There’s another massive thread entitled Pilgrim ReBorn in which I reported exactly what happened, as it happened.

I’ve been moved by the expressions of support and your votes of confidence. It’s now down to me to ensure that I don’t disappoint. I’m in no doubts that I’ve got a mountain to climb, and in the most severe financial circumstances too.

I’d like your help: both constructive criticism and suggested ways forward. I’m now off to a military surplus store to get a hard hat and an entrenching tool.

OPEN FIRE!!!

This sounds like a " We will fight them on the beaches etc." speech.
Den, good luck and keep the hard hat on.
Whilst I'm here, is your office desk full of post it notes?

Keep up the good fight my man.

I did.... and I'm sorry I haven't yet responded.

Truth is I'm short on time. My next magazine (December 08 ) has to go to press today so that it's ready for Exeter.

As soon as it's done (which will actually be first thing Monday morning in practice) I'll be dealing with all my recent PM's and emails.

Hope that’s OK!

Den,
You have the support of your french customer Fred. GOOD LUCK to you, in french "merde" and please think of a Pilgrim GT40 replica as a future project.
Best wishes.

I would be interested to here what you have in place in terms of brochures , price details etc . I had my dad order a brochure from the old Pilgrim about 3 weeks before it went tits up . He had it sent to my house in the UK and I was looking forward to having a good read when I come home for Xmas . Does this info still stand or do you have new stuff ?
I don't get home for good until next summer and it will probably be a little after that before I get things sorted out enough to start on my sumo so I realise I am not high on your list of potential customers . Having said that , I do intend buying a sumo and would like to get the relevent info in order to be able to come up with a budget for the project (which will then get blown out of the water - but I have to try )
I understand you are flat out at the moment with the show etc , so don't hurry to reply to this - its not like I can do anything but dream for at least 6 months

Thanks
Paul
