new / novice builder

I've decided to have a go at building a Euro 427 after a couple of years wondering about it. It might not be everyones cup of tea, but as some one who has not done this sort of thing before, I thought that i would do something simple first and then progress to a chevey V8 !. Anyway, its a 2.9 V6 that i am liberating fron the donor, and hopefully, this weekend will see it out of the shell. If anyone has any tips(apart from "dont do it")they would be gratefully received.

RE: new / novice builder

Hi Mike,
I'm nearing the end of my 1st build [SVA comming soon]so I feel I'm just out of the novice stage... but only just.
I took 19 months to get this far.
I did my own car maintenance when a student and am very practical -DIY to keep house costs down etc.

I chose the Pilgrim Sumo because I felt that it would be easier to build.
I don't think the engine type added much complexity [I chose a Chevy 350]
MAJOR input from this forum - you'd be amazed how many great responses you'll get to those 'dumb' newby questions

Very best of luck and most of all enjoy it :+ :+

I documented most of my progress and you can check it out at....
