PEDAL BOX

Has anyone used the Marina/Ital pedal box on a Dax with any success, using a Rover lump?

RE: PEDAL BOX

to fit a Marina/Ital pedal box to a dax you would have to seriously modify the bulkhead and fit a strengthening plate to support the pedalbox as the dax bulkhead is fibreglass the pressure from the pedals needs to be spread over the full area all in all its a big messy job .i've built a lot of daxes and looked at many ways to lower cost and or simplify things and this particular area i found was best left alone ,i know it's expensive but the dax pedal box seems to me to be the safest and most economical option in the long run

RE: PEDAL BOX

Dave dont know how expensive the Dax set up is ,but I have a marina pedal box on my Gravetti.Last month I needed to replace the clutch master cylinder. Thinking nothing of I went to my local parts shop (Webbs Spare parts)and ordered one .When it arrived The bloke Gulped and said "f%&k me you could get a whole Marina for that!!!"After a bit of discount inc Vat it came out at £102.50
So go for the unit that fits best and save the agg. and possibly some dosh.

RE: PEDAL BOX

I'll second Steve's answer - Marina pedal boxes are becoming very hard to find, and master cylinder rebuild kits are very pricey. A shame, since they were a neat way around an area that is a problem for a lot of folks, and very easy to fit in cars with sheet metal footwells (obviously no good for a Dax then!!).

I am not 100% sure, but I think that a bog standard girling clutch master cylinder from the likes of Merlin at £30ish would fit.
