Dax de Dion - Decision Time!!

I know this topic has been and gone regarding pro's and con's of the de dion setup but I now have the chance to change my chassis order for a de dion with my delivery in January unaffected.

So is it worth the £1600 upgrade price for an unknown product?

Yes, I'll have the newest chassis they offer but will it really make a difference.

Thanks for your help

Michael

RE: Dax de Dion - Decision Time!!

Hi Michael.
On track days yes, on the road no (Well not legally anyhow).
If you add to the price the additional cost for 18" wheels you are looking at around £2,000 more for a De Dion.

The De Dion is much more predictable when cornering relative to speed and can be driven on the throttle (Power sliding etc. around bends)much easier than the std. chassis.

If you want any further info, give me a call.

Thanks Dave,

Do you have to have 18" wheels though? I already have all the parts sitting in my garage so don't really want to change anything now.

Regards

Michael

Hi Michael.
I'm not sure, but those 18" 295/35 tyres do look mean.
If you did want to go for 18" ring me (Daytime)and i might be able to do you a PX for what you have as i still use 17"s on std chassis cars.

Dave

Don't forget the pictures of Tricky smoking the tyres on Paul's mean machine.

Be careful he doesn't spill his beer in the process.

RE: Dax de Dion - Decision Time!!

Dave, any chance you can get Tricky to smoke the front tyres?
Better still, let Lurg take his car out for a spin!
Cheers,
Neil.}(
