Beware the Vipers Venomous Sting! classic replicas adrian pe

Beware the Vipers Venomous Sting!

In early July this year my son and I decided to build a Cobra Replica.

The waiting list for the main stream Jag based kits were all around 4-6 months.
Enticed by Classic Replicas excellent web site and their promise of a four week delivery of the chassis, we sent off £500 deposit and eagerly awaited the build manual followed by the chassis.
After approximately three weeks we were concerned we had not received the build manual so phoned the owner to get a progress up-date. He informed us he hadn’t finished writing it yet! He also asked if we could send another cheque for £500 made out to his wife and he would return our first one as he could not bank it for some reason. However our kit was the next to start and would only be a couple of weeks late. Another week passed and we received a crudely put together build manual. (half printed up-side down!)
By this time we had restored all of our xjs donor parts and were ready to start our build project. All we needed was the chassis.
Again we called Mr. Percival only to be told “the mark one is not very good. If you give us a couple of weeks you can have the mark two versions”. We agreed.
By October this year it was getting increasingly difficult to contact them by phone and the excuses were wearing thin. In the first weeks of November we received an e-mail stating the chassis was going in for powder coating and would be delivered free of charge on the 16th/17th November.
My son and I had a week off work to start the build. The chassis never came. They would not answer the phone.
The following Thursday Mr. Percival called to tell me “it’s nearly finished then it can be coated up”. Frustrated, I let him have a piece of my mind and hung up.
This week my son eventually got to speak to him, by using a false name! He informed my son that the cheque was being returned as he does not need our business (I am rude!). We have yet to receive our £500 deposit and the office of fair trading has been contacted. Had I gone with one of the more prominant companies I would have now completed the four month wait. When I asked Mr. Percival this week, why could he not be more honest with us? He replied “your chassis is nearly half finished!”

Some people just don't deserve to be in business :} :} :}

Good luck with whoever you end up dealing with - dealing with my supplier couldn't have been any better, so much so that I would love to build another of their cars in the future.

I tried to find the website bit couldn't. Maybe it's been pulled.
I agree with Gumball, he doesn't deserve to be in business.

RE: Beware the Vipers Venomous Sting! classic replicas ...

Would this be the same as the Chassis kits on Ebay that are currently getting loadsa hits but no bids? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...tem=2442966336

Wow, look, 10% off the body kit!

Did anyone notice that there is a link to the CRC forums on his "ClassicReplicas" site?
Nik.
