:OT :OT :OT :OT :OT :OT :OT :OT
I've just spent all day repairing one of our citroens that i crashed in the ice a few weeks ago, bumper, wing, bonnet, headlight, rad and front crossmembers, and i've come to the conclusion that citroen must cross orang-u-tans with octopusses (octopi?)and train them as mechanics:} :} :}

It's near enough impossible to get at some nuts and bolts and they give you these tiny, tiny miniscule access hatches to work through:f :v :f :v :f :v :f :v

There must be a special department at citroen that works out how to make things more difficult:} :} :} :}

IT MAKES MY BLOOD BOIL:tu

Rant over, happy new year to all

ALSO FRUSTRATED!!!:} :} :} :} :OT
Came out sunday morning and all the nearside indicators on my LDV 400 van were glowing continuosly!! Wasn't like it saturday night on return from pub!!!!, and it hasn't moved since christmas eve. After charging the battery I concluded that it must be getting a constant feed from somewhere, probably the hazard circuit. I've removed all the plugs from the column and hazard switches, all the fuses and all the relays but to no avail! I can only pressume that the missus parked to close to it and it's contracted Mad Volvo Disease :} :}

RE: frustrated

I went to a party at Xmas with a mate who is looking at buying a Citroen C5, 'cos they are so cheap.

We got talking to a guy and it turns out he works at a Citroen garage so we asked him his advice re the possible purchase.

"dont buy one, they are crap" he said......turned out he runs a citroen garage and doesnt drive one himself, "Why," "cos they are all crap"....

The worst it turns out is the Pluriel the latest type which converts from saloon to convertible to hatchback to van etc is the worst so far.......the roof leaks like a sieve, he has got a yard full waiting to go back to France for drastic surgery......

Cheers,

Tony

RE: frustrated

Chris (Purple AK)
The most likely culprit is your alarm - a faulty relay inside the unit, or a connection to it.

The alarm on my beemer did it once.

Simon.

RE: frustrated

Hi Tony, things not going too well then mate? have to admit I have a brand new C3 !!!!!! Although having spent a lifetime in the motor trade I would not normally touch one, but on the hole it does not seem too bad.

Apart from the thing has no lock at all to speak of and the pedals are at the wrong angle it seems okay. Mind you some silly old git rammed me with a Range Rover the other day scratched his bumper and did two grands worth of damage to the Citroen it seems a little weak in the body panel department!!x( Happy new year to you and the other half regards Eric.
