Hello World

Hello,

Been a while since i've been on the site. I've finished reconning everything but my 3.058:1 Diff (anyone got a good 3.54:1 going cheap ?)

from this....

to this...

(excuse the carpet, it was like that when we bought the house)

and now i'm bored. Nothing to do but twiddle my fingers until May.

On another subject, with the dollar at 1.9 to the pound, does anyone know of a good (new-turnkey) chevy engine supplier in the US ?

Adrian

As a very impatient person myself I dont know how you will cope.If you need any victim support feel free to ask.Why not buy the wife a new carpet in the mean time,it may pay dividends later. Also future pics will look better if the chassis dont turn up.

RE: Hello World

excuse my ignorance, but what the hell's a GE427 ?

Dax, AK, Viper, GD, CR, Pilgrim, Hawk etc i've heard of, but whats a GE ? (Typo ?!)

Oh and on the carpet front, i've got a large spare bit from a bedroom to carpet the garage floor, so future 'chassis build' pics will be atop a nice blue shag...

RE: Hello World

GE is a Gravetti also incarnated in the early '90s as a CK427.much maligned Mark for various reasons, not least earlier versions handling.Mine has survived for me to lovingly spend loads of "hard earned" making it what I wanted.

RE: Hello World

Ahhhh. Sounds familiar now.

Still, i bet it was a better kit than a body shell i saw sitting in a fence suppliers yard in Bristol last week. God knows what it was, but it had no doors or bonnet, and unlike my GD (when it arrives) was just the top of the shell. No floor, inner wings, panels, nothing. Oh and no chassis. I'm sure the owner is open to offers...

On the waiting front, the last 3 months are the hardest, I've already waited 5 months since ordering. I hate to think what the delivery date is now, some time in 2005 probably.

RE: Hello World

welcome back to the forum oh greasey one!
I've just picked up a used 3.54 for £125 plus vat and delivery.
It came from a place in Kent.
Found it through one the parts search engines on the net.
I'll give it the once over and a set of seals before I fit it.
I'll have a good 3.08 PL for sale when I've changed it.
