Track day to replace Elvington?

Hi Gang,
As we don't have Elvington to look forward to this year, I've been doing a bit of digging to see what alternatives are available to us.
As Rob has found in the past the biggest problem for us is the noise limits with most places having limit at or below 100dB.
I have however found one possible venue which has a noise limit of 105dB (drive by), which I feel would keep most of us OK.
The circuit is Llandow (quite close to me coincidentally)

It's a shortish circuit at just under 1 mile, but only a short drive to beautiful beaches etc. (for the Ladies.) :tu
It looks unlikely that we could get all weekend but possibly a Friday afternoon and all day Saturday.

The dates provisionally available at the moment are: March 20th, April 3rd, July 17th (unlikely),August 14th, September 4th and 18th.
Or any weekend in October (too cold?).

20 cars would work out at £117.50 each inc vat. (just for Saturday)
30 cars £78.33
40 cars £58.75
50 cars £47.00
The more the cheaper.

The Friday afternoon could be done on a similar basis but cheaper or if there was only a few takers £80 per car.

I've been in touch with them and they're going to let me do a couple of laps in the Cob to see whether the circuit is suitable for us.{-} {-}
They've had formula Fords up to 140 mph plus down the main straight.

PS how many cars did we have at Elvington on the track last year?

As a matter of fact my neighbour's mate is a test driver there, had the new Elise round just before Xmas, but I think he's in America testing it there at the moment, I'll try and find out. Thats more like it, closer to a civilsed part of the world,

Hi Kev, great that you have gone to the trouble to find out this information, have you had a word with Peter Jones as once you have all the information he would probably be able to put it in Snake Torque. Probably would go down even better if you write a small article for the mag. Depending on when it is I would defiantly be interested.:tu :tu :tu :tu .
