| So what about a National Day? So we can't do Elvington again, what a shame it was such fun, but we must still have a NATIONAL meet at some time. Even if we can't do a track day Robs idea of Santa Pod with some runs down the track, maybe a treasure hunt and a Show and Shine, just a good O'l get together like Duxford in the past must be worth doing. What do you think Rob. Santa Pod is in a good central possition for the UK, can we get a weekend there? Or what about tying up with the GT40 guys and doing something with them. I would hate top think that we can't have a National event at all this year, they are always a great way to put faces to names( and then wished you hadn't seen the face!!!!!) | RE: So what about a National Day? I don't know how many of the guys on here check out Pistonheads.com , but there's always their annual get together, Pistonfest, at Shakespeare County Raceway near Stratford upon Avon in July. It's got quite a few things to keep most people from getting bored,it's basically a get together of likeminded petrol heads with loads of various exotic and some not so exotic cars.I don't suppose it's everyones cup of tea but it'd be great if a load of Cobras could show up and put most of the other cars to shame.Oh and there's a beer tent! Just a thought. Smiley www.pistonfest.com/default.asp |

| RE: So what about a National Day? I must admit that sounds pretty good to me. I guess it couldn't be much more central in the country either. http://www.woodoouk.eclipse.co.uk/Wales.gif Kev Davies Dax, 383ci Chevy Stroker, Tremec TKO South Wales :tu
