Dear Symantec Store Customer,

*********************************** Virus Warning *************************************************
************************* W32.Netsky.D@mm - Category 4 Virus **************************************

Symantec has upgraded the W32.Netsky.D@mm to a Level 4 threat [On a scale of 1-5,
5 being highest].

W32.Netsky.D@mm, a variant of the recent W32.Netsky.C, is a mass-mailing worm that
uses its own SMTP engine to send itself to e-mail addresses it finds when scanning
a hard drive. This may clog mail servers or degrade network performance. The worm
attempts to remove registry keys for various worms such as W32.Mydoom.A@mm,
W32.Mydoom.B@mm and W32.Mimail.T@mm, attempting to deactivate these threats.

RE: Virus Alert

Hi Mike, guess Symantec/Norton sales must be down! I use Grisoft/AVG which is free and update it automatically every few days. It works fine. No need to catch a virus. Don't open any attachments you're not sure of. Don't click on any links in an email. Don't run Outlook Express in preview mode. The last one I picked up was from someone on the forum who sent an attachment I was expecting. Klez was on it but AVG picked it up immediately and quarantined it. No problem. I don't check my mail directly with Outlook any more. I use a notifier which lets me preview all my mail. I use it for dumping spam too, directly off the server without even seeing it! I have a filter set up which makes a really pleasing sound when spam is dumped! When I go for my mail with Outlook Express I know what's there already. Just a few jottings, Trigger. :tu
