Track Day Cadwell Park

The MG Car Club are holding a track day at Cadwell on Friday 18th June and have been persuaded by some subtle pressure from me that it would be a mighty fine idea if the CRC were invited to participate.
The cost is £75 for the day, for which you get one 15-20 minute session every hour, with at least 6 sessions through the day.
If any of you are interested, please e mail me via the forum and I will forward an entry form to you. Places are fairly limited, so be quick!

RE: Track Day Cadwell Park

Forgot to mention noise levels. As far as I am aware the limit is 105db, but I've never seen anybody checking levels on three previous track days I've attended, so there shouldnt be a problem.

I think it comes under Lincolnshire?
I did some rallying there years ago, an interesting circuit if I recall with armco and stuff. x(

RE: Track Day Cadwell Park

Cadwell is situated in the Lincolnshire Wolds, about 5 miles from Louth, 25 miles east of Lincoln, 40 miles from the A1 at Newark.
Its a great little circuit, very hilly, part in Woodland, part in open countryside, occasionally referred to as a 'mini Nurburgring'.
Come on you lot, 20 or 30 cobs blasting round Cadwell would be quite a sight.

I might be up for it, but I need to see if I can arrange to stop with some friends in the area that weekend.
Luckily they're down here with me this weekend.

RE: Track Day Cadwell Park

Hi All,

Sounds good to me! Cadwell is an excellent race circuit (very challenging), however its pretty far from me in Sussex.

However, If we did manage to rustle up some numbers, it might be a nice touch to hold a small rememberance (say 1 minute silence) for the two Cobra Racers who lost their lives doing what they enjoyed most?

Just a thought.

Cheers

David

RE: Track Day Cadwell Park

Cant believe there are so many shy retiring flowers out there! So far, only 6 CRC members (me included) have responded to this. Just to remind you all, you can get at least 6 20min sessions around the Club Circuit at Cadwell for £75.
If we cant fill at least one of the sessions with Cobras, my wife has threatened to take her MGBV8 (aka the rusty anchor)to show you all how a lap around Cadwell should be done properly! We dont want that now do we?

Yes, I am interested - owning a couple of MGs plus a Dax 427. Trouble is going to be finding someone to drive a MG ! Also work colleague with 4.8 L V8 Dax Rush might want to know. Is this allowed ?

Cheers,

Wires
