parking

If you were to park your pride and joy in a "pay and display" car park, where would you put the sticker to prevent some idiot walking off with it? :tu

RE: parking

What you do is get one of those Richbrook anodised tax disc holders to put your ticket in.
That way, by the time you have removed the allen screws, looked for the ones you dropped, and put the others back in, your ticket will probably have expired anyway!

RE: parking

write your index across the ticket. It might at least stop it being nicked, though make it more liekyl for someone to say ' hey looka t that smart alec, lets just rip it up anyway'

RE: parking

Do cobras (GDs in particular) go up the ramps in multi-storey car parks or do they ground at the top of them?

RE: parking

Guys,

You forgot the obvious, which is;

If you're parking in Swindon it makes no difference if you've bought a ticket, have a season ticket or didn't bother, as you'll get a parking ticket anyway.

In three years parking in Swine-don with a season ticket, i got 7 or 8 parking fines, all of which almost went to court because i refused to pay them.

Back to the topic, i'm with Chris, 'Theres no way i'd leave it in a P&D'. Tony, you must be mad mate.!

There ain't no replacement for displacement.. GD427 on order ... Chassis arriving May , Body in July
Cost to date: £1090.62, Progress to date: Big pile of assorted jag bits in cupboard and THE diff.

When/if you get a penalty notice, you send your ticket to them with a note saying someone had pulled it off the screen and chucked it under the car. The fine will be retracted, I promise.
I know 'cos it happened to me. Mind you, it took me about 10 minutes to find someone leaving the car park with the right times on their ticket to help me out. }(
A guy I know who works in that department of the council told me that they won't chase fines if there is proof that a ticket has been bought.

Cheers,
Neil.
