AC CARS on the move

Just noticed that AC Cars have moved from Brooklands.
They're now 3 miles down the road from me at Frimley, probably I'd guess coz the rental space is much cheaper than at Brooklands.

You might also be interested to look at the price list...

Stone guards for 550 quid (including VAT sir). Blimey. Just shows you gotta be made of money to have a real one!!!!!

RE: AC CARS on the move

I just clicked on the big AC symbol.
Took me to another screen. I then clicked around the car icons, then bingo. Pics, price lists and merchandise. I've just checked that still works and seems fine from my machine.
I guess if you register, then there's even more stuff. But it looked to me like the site was much smaller than the old ac-cars.co.uk site.

RE: AC CARS on the move

Hi!

I've read they were moving, because of the waterproblems over there. The former factory was located near a river, which flooded every season. I don't know the exact story, but I guess this was one of the reasons to move to another location (and I guess a place near a lake isn't cheaper either!).

Bye!

Jordy

RE: AC CARS on the move

OK, that makes sense.
I went to the Brooklands Sports Car day in the summer (great day out incidentally, and GD were there Robert) and we got chatting to one of the car restorers who told the same story. The clubhouse and parts of the museam were still out of bounds in June after being wrecked by the water because the River Wey burst its banks last winter with all that rain - there was a lot of flooding around Surrey near many of the water ways.

RE: AC CARS on the move

Have you seen the price for sidepipes on the 212 s/c

Side exhausts 5,787.23 43.75 £6,800.00

Me thinks there might be an error there.
