IVA - First time pass, second time round.

    Hi everyone,

Pleased to say, after my last attempt at the IVA (Missed IVA - nearly died instead!!! ), I took it to the Norwich test centre yesterday and passed first time .

I had to adjust 1 headlight and the handbrake, everything else was fine.

I'm chuffed to bits, I think it's the first AK Gen 2 to pass built by a customer (apart from Antony, but he dosen't count, he knows what he's doing), just got to sort out the DVLA now.
Steve - AK Gen II, started build 29 June 2009, Mike Huddart SBC 383 arrived 24 Aug 09, body on 14 Oct 2009, back from paint 09 Feb 2010, IVA passed 01/06/2010 .

Yes, turned out the "apprentice" did the job, didn't allow for any float in the bearings, so, once the hubs heated up, they decided it was time to stop working. The garage was good, covered my expences, still waiting for a new pair of underpants though !

Thanks everyone, the inspector (Dennis, really nice bloke) did mention the 16" BMW steering wheel didn't leave a lot of elbow room and suggested I might put something a bit smaller on. Think I might take his advice .

    well done

Congratulations on your pass, I really hope you get it on the road soon, I am still chasing DVLA for my chassis check, I have found out today that mine has turned up in Bristol, but they cant process it for 4 to 5 weeks, been waiting 5 weeks up to now, they are going to forward it to Nottingham, so who knows with a bit of luck i may get it a bit quicker, or then again it could end up anywhere, I have lost all confidence,
