Which Cobra to build ?

Hi everyone, I would value any advice you can offer. I have narrowed my choice down to two Cobra kits either Dax or GD.The GD certainly seems impressive to me particularly with the Euro chassis and the GM LS6 fuel injected engine. Unfortunately very expensive and ? may offend the Cobra purist.
Hoping to order soon- please give me your views!

RE: Which Cobra to build ?

Rans,

Next thing to do is try to visit and speak to each of the factories concerned, alos get a test drive if possible.

I was in the same place as you last July, unsure if to go for a Dax or a GD.

Finally went for Dax due to looks, cost and they are very close to me.

Not sure when GD's next open day is but Dax have one this coming Friday (9th April).

Regards

Michael

Thanks Michael, I did visit GD recently and was impressed ( they are just over an hour down the A1, suppose I should make the "pilgrimage" to the Dax factory but thats 5 hours away ( Andy did say that I should choose on merit rather than the proximity of the factory!)

I have personally heard no complaints about GD or Dax regarding customer service, both are very good at keeping their customers happy.

If your choosing on merit, then there is only one choice, its got to be an AK go and visit them before you make your mind up.

Thats a first, everyone I know has just been told to turn up, but call first to make sure there is a demonstrator available.

RE: Which Cobra to build ?

Yep, for me it was a car that had very good safety features and was run by an engineer who could think outside the box instead of someone who just copies things, including previous mistakes.
