    Who's best for an R380 refurb ?

I've managed to bag a 2w drive R380 from an LDV diesel that I 'think' will mate up to the Rover V8.

But, its looks like it has been left in the rain for years and is in need of a refurb, and I want a lazy fifth ratio ideally too.

Can anyonme recommend a gearbox specialist who is good...and cheap ?!

I've often been asked, "What do you old folks do now that you're retired?
Well, I'm fortunate to have a chemical engineering background, one of the things I enjoy most is turning beer, wine, Scotch and margaritas into urine.

Before you spend any cash, check the input shaft length as this may be different to the length required for a RV8....
Also, if my memory is correct, the gear selection housing is forward so this may also need replacing.
If it is suitable, they are a good box.

The shaft 'looks' the same, but until I get my LT77 off I can't be sure.

I've sent Russel a PM, but not heard back yet.

Any other suggestions of reputable companies out there ?
