How do I get my status changed to club supporter. It used to be, so I don't know why it's gone to senior member. Been paid up 12 years now

Unfortunately Peter, as discussed at the committee meeting some time ago, unless I get a copy of the latest member list I cannot confirm if a user is a member of the club or not, a catch 22 situation unfortunately nfor users that join via cheque or at a show.

Catch22 Indeed! That meeting would have been in 2010! Rob, you resigned from the committee, and as a director of the CRC on 23/01/2011. As such you should not be party to company files/member details. We all need to talk/group hug! Or move on.

If it is, as right, a concern for the private data of the member, can there be a box on the membership form to tick if you do not want the relevant details passed onto Rob?

Rob, before we all start getting silly over this issue and falling out over nothing, I have to point out to you that legally we cannot give you the current membership database if you are not a committee member. Thats the law and we cannot break it or we would be liabel to be sued. It's not that we don't want to or are trying to be pedantic, it's the way it is. I will be very upset if this issue cannot be resolved in some way because we have co-existed mutually benefitting everyone for so long. I have tried to contact you to discuss this and had no luck, could you ring me to sort this situation out. I'm sure if everyone is grown up about this it can be sorted some way. Best regards, Pete.

For the 'problem' of people who renew by cheque or post; can you not just add a line to the joining form or renewal form that says 'Cobraclub website user name'; then when you get that persons renewal, you just email Robert 'username Purple AK is a club supporter, regards CRC committee'
That way Robert can update the status on here, and nobody has divulged data covered by the data protection act.
