    Stolen E71 KHK - Warwickshire

Just returned form 2 weeks touring Scotland. Booked my car into local garage for gearbox check-over - second day away garage was broken into and some bas...d nicked my Cobra.
Stolen overnight on Friday 20'th July - Nuneaton, Warwickshire - still have the keys. Reported to police on 21'st.
Irony is, I was having work done on my garden, and the garage is full, so the cobra has been on my drive for last couple of months - thought it would be safer in a secure garage...

Hi Martin, I've noticed your car wasn't on the drive recently as I've passed. Sorry to hear about your loss, which garage was it stolen from??

Very sorry to hear that. Would have thought the police ought to stand a good chance of finding such a distinctive car?!

Is it worth posting up some pics so everyone knows what to keep an eye open for?

Will this be a claim on your insurance or the garages?

it should be a claim on the garages insurance - not your own.

Really, really sorry to hear about this Martin. Hope everything turns out ok, and the thieving scumbags die a horrible death.

My insurers (Adrian Flux) tell me this goes through them initially. Not sure if they will cross claim on the garage ? Any advice welcome to assist progress.

Sorry to hear of your plight Martin. I hope you have an agreed value on the car, as otherwise they will look at market value which is very hard to do on these cars. You could end up with a fight on your hands with the insurer as to the value. Good luck with the claim.

That suprises me, I would have thought it was the garages insurers. Like if you book your car in for an MOT/or brake work and someone rights it off on a test drive. Didn't that happen? A garage allowed a youth to test drive a Cob and he hit someone, writing off the car in the process and I think, sadly, there was a pedestrian fatality wasn't there?
