| BRA 289 Mark 1 (another one) LAST EDITED ON 20-Mar-01 AT 06:06*AM (GMT)[p]My car is an early BRA 289 built from a kit we purchased in 1985. The car was completed and first put on the road in Feb.1989 (the same month I joined the CRC!).
It has a P6 high compression 3500 cc Rover (just about to be modified to run on unleaded), SD1 5 spd. gearbox, MGB GT 3.08:1 diff., MGB GT V8 front brakes, Ron Hopkinson modified front suspension with negative camber wishbones and telescopic damping, Spax conversion rear suspension and MGC rear drums.
It has been a lot of fun for the last 12 years; goes to Le Mans each year and has been to many CRC meets and events over the years.
When I joined the CRC in 1989 I never thought the club would prosper the way it has.
This web site is a credit to the club.
