More EFI questions

When (if) i get a Rover EFI system what rate fuel pump would i need in flow rate and psi?
do i need to buy the flexible fuel hoses ready made or is it safe to make my own to length from a reel of hose?

don't know flow rates, but standard rover and jag efi pumps are fine, and pretty good value from motor factors. BTW these pumps don't suck very well, so must be fitted near to and on a similar level to the fuel tank outlet.


If you use flexible fuel hose as I did you MUST only use hose rated for fuel injection as the standard fuel hose won't stand the higher efi pressure for very long with potentially disastrous consequences. For preference I use oetiker hose clamps instead of worm drive as they are more forgiving and don't cut into tjhe pipe as much.

Can anyone recomend a fuel pump to go with the Rover EFI? Either a brand, part number or vehicle type so i can obtain one please.

Tony,
depends on what sort of power your ultimatly going for, but if your after a standard setup then get a standard pump from RPI, around £75. If your going for more power go for something like a Vortech TRex (VOR-8F002-265) 50Gph at 70psi from Summit racing, around £120
