Good Day Out........

Hi
Would like to thank all concerned for organizing another good day out at Rockingham. The 70 - odd cobras on the parade lap looked REAL GOOD..... and sounded great. Did any body count how many cobras there were in car park? Weather was good to us too.... Who else has a red face.!!!!!!!
Cheers
Colin

Re: Good Day Out........

Yep, I'd echo that - thanks Tinka (and all the unsung in the background!) the 2 laps round the track made my sons day...and the 2 trips through the tunnel deafened him

Having a 8 year old on board definatly tempers the right foot on the way there and back though, I managed 28Mpg that's now better than the Volvo .

I too am looking like a total Lobster

Thanks all

Jim

(PS Andrew counted 83 in the park at about 14:00 - kept him busy for a while )

I've got a red face! I missed the rendevous for the parade lap coz I was too busy gassing in the Hooters tent!!!!
Just made it to the fence to see you guy's out there, that was an impressive sight.
Many thanks to all the organisation team, another great day out.

Regards,
Ian.

Re: Good Day Out........

Yes I agree, great day and thanks to all who set it all up. And a big thanks to the two people who stopped to help me, when the gremlins decided to make my car think it wanted to stop for no good reason, I made it home OK despite an intermittant electrical fault causing the engine to shut itself down when it felt like it. One was Simon Finlay, the other I had no idea who it was, but thanks
Phil

Re: Good Day Out........

Now don't get all excited, I don't intend to be around very often.

never mind "gassing in the Hooters tent"

What you have to do is entice the Hooters girls into your car!

(and I have incriminating evidence on several other CRC members)

Re: Good Day Out........

It was a pleasure sorting all this out and the other members of the team are Julian Winch who did all the negotiating with the people at Rockingham THANKS JULIAN ,MYSELF and Simon Finlay who proposed the idea of turning this from a Regional Club event into the National Club Event. There were just over 100 cars there by the way.

Martin

Now I can relax and a big thanks for everyone who turned up.

Re: Good Day Out........

Wilf, my old sidekick in arms -good to see your post & glad the photo content didn't need moderating Are you still seeing orange & will the view in your 'rear' view mirror ever seem the same again? Guess I'll have to pop over to the gasholes for the full photo experience, so will do shortly.

Also must echo the big thanks already voiced about everyone who helped today run so well - proper job

cheers

Re: Good Day Out........

Looking pretty lobster like too but it was a great day out. I would just like to point out that all I did was propose the idea and make a phone call to a contact at Rockingham, all the praise should be sent to those Mids group boys Martin and Julian who had most of the event planned before I stuck my oar in, thanks guys from the lazy bugger who comes up with an idea and then lets someone else do ALL the work. I think the parade laps had the public blowing thier air horns more than the race cars, so it must show how appreciated we were. Thanks again Martin and Julian(been there, sceen it GOT THE T SHIRT, you know what I mean), Simon
