OGP Nurburgring Sign up Aug 6/7/8

The purpose of this note is to help members of the UK, Belgian and Dutch Cobra Replica Clubs to order tickets to join as guests of the German CRC in the club parking area at the Nurburgring circuit. In prior years I have been living in Germany and have thus been able to handle liaison with the German Club directly but I am now living in Japan and unable to do so.

To order tickets you will need to send a copy of the attached form to the organizer of the German CRC, Uschi Hartmann and arrange the transfer of funds well in advance of the event to ensure you get your tickets mailed in time. Uschi is a really helpful lady but she does not speak English which is why I have written the form in English and in German. The upper and lower parts of the form have the same meaning and you only need to complete the upper part. Like most club officials she does her duties on a voluntary basis so please understand that, and try to make her life easy by getting the form and money to her in plenty of time. I suggest that you send your order and funds to be with her by no later than July 10th. You should transfer the funds from your bank to the German Club at the following:

The club usually gets their allocation of tickets about 10 days before the event and I have built into the funds calculation an amount sufficient to include priority mailing but please note that you may receive your ticket just a few days before you leave.

The ticket that you will get from the German Club is for parking only in the Club car park which is usually H4 (well signposted and is right across the road from the main straight on the Grand Prix cicuit). Once you are at the track and in the club car park you can then use the parking ticket to get a discounted ticket to the track (from memory about 35 Euros for the three days). Keep the parking ticket safe, as you will need it each day to get into the car park.

I know that everyone who goes will have a great time and if you choose to take your Cobra on the Nordschleife (possible on the 7th and the 8th) take care and treat this famous track with the respect it deserves. Note the clubs sometimes have a parade lap for a limited number of cars late on the Saturday but you’ll need to check this out on the day and sign up if necessary.
