After years of thinking, researching and generally asking stupid questions on this site I was actually able to start tearing down my engine this morning. Granted due to a family invasion later I started a 07:30 and finished by 08:30 but the waterpump and one cylinder head is off! Hoorah!

Bore condition is great at standard 4.00" with no ridge at the top of the bore, just a slightbuild up of carbon. I may get away with a hone, Ill let my machine shop tell me that.
The engine also turns over easily but there is a clunk form the bottom end somewhere, not sure what it is but Im sure Ill find out!. Its all being replaced so hopefully no problem there.

Anyway feeling better now!!

On a more annoying note isnt it frustrating when someone advertises something for sale, confirms its what you want when you phone them and then agree to ring back with a shipping cost but dont? Then they are never in when you ring again?!?! So annoying, why put it up for sale, or at least be honest and say "Im not selling it any more?!" Anyway rant over.... Im sure theres a perfectly good explanation.
