Southern Roadcraft Cobra

I would be extremely grateful to talk to anyone in the club who has a SRV8, and would be prepared to chat over any idiosyncracies of this car.

Re: Southern Roadcraft Cobra

Hi Tony
Just recieved your e-mail. I do`nt have a problem with the steering on mine, in fact it is very smooth, even when you put your foot down. You can feel larger bumps and holes in the road, but this does not affect the handling of the car. I was quite surprised when I first drove the car how well she drove. But a chap at our local cobra meet who has an SRV8, asked me the same question. He said he had similar problems to you and put it down to the design of the car after speaking to Southern Roadcraft. He managed to solve the problem by fitting power steering and says the difference is great. A totally different drive. I hope this is of some help.

Re: Southern Roadcraft Cobra

Many thanks for all the input. I have analysed all the responses and decided to get Madgwick to upgrade the steering. Madgwick are the company who took over the license from Southern Roadcraft.

cheers Tony
