| Black number plates Does anyone know of a company that will knock up a black number plate, for a number that is obviously not old enough? Since Sept last year, and the new regs,I'm struggeling to find anyone that will make me one incase they get fined.      |

| RE: Black number plates There is a site called "vintage number plates" or some such, they do all sorts, including stick ons. Of course you do realise that fitting those plates to a car not originally registered before 1973 (I think), is actually an offence??? Would take a very clued-up officer of the law to pick up on it tho'. Wilf

| RE: Black number plates I believe you can only get fined (a small amount) for it though (I only know this because I saw some program about some Essex Nova Boys who rag thier cars around without plates on at all, or with them covered up, so they wont get done by police cameras, but when one got stopped he got a warning and spot fine (no points) - so no legal advice implied!!)
