air filter help

1. Tried to fit my bodyshell (pilgrim) only to find the air filter won't fit under the bonnet (I have a ford 302 with a long oval filter with cobra in raised letters on it). It doesn't look like I can modify the filter; the carburettor is an eidelbrock. Can anyone give some advice or would they like to buy mine or swap for a type that will fit my car.
2. Can anyone send me part no's and pin info for the sierra relays. I’ve made my own harness and this is the only part that’s stumped me.

Cheers
Mark

Hi Mark,

I have a Ford 302/Edelbrock and may be interested in the air filter. Send me an e-mail.

Regards,

Ian

Re: air filter help

Mark,
Relay terminal numbering:
30 - Supply for the thing you want to switch. Convention is to use a permanent supply, via the fusebox.
85 - Negative side of coil
86 - Positive side of coil
87 - Contact made when the relay coil is energised.
87a - Contact made when the relay coil is NOT energised.
87b - Additional contact made when the relay coil is energised, but is NOT connected to 87 when the relay is not energised.

For relay pin-out diagrams have a look at the VWP catalogue:

Simon.

Re: air filter help

Mark

as for air filters, I had the same problem, filter fits into the air scoop and the only one I could find to do the job was a Morso 9" chrome job from real Steel. Dont look too sad and in theory should be ok so long as its kept clean.
