Suspension set up

Hi

Can anyone recommend a good place I can take my Cobra to have the suspension set up
It is a legendary 427 Kit and has Ford running gear. One of the rose joints on the rear suspension had seized so I replaced it with a new set of Gaz shocks at the rear. Springs on car when I bought it were 500 so I changed to 400 PSI but still feels too stiff at back end. Was going to put new set of shocks on front also.
Have also developed an annoying squeek at rear whish I need sorting
I want to take the car somewhere where they will try and set it all up correctly
Can you recommend anywhere
I live in Leeds but am prepared to travel to get it all set up right
I just bought a 4.6 stage 3 Rover from V8 Developments so performance is great but handling and ride is not so the extra power has compounded the problem of the too stiff suspension and hence this is my next job to get sorted
Car had Cooper Cobra tyres so have replaced with Khumo softer compound for better grip
Once I've got suspension and handling set up all I need is an internal retrim and she's sweet
Any advise recommendations would be greatly appreciated
Many Thanks

regards

James

Re: Suspension set up

One 'eck of a journey for you but how about Cheng Lim at Thunder Road?

He knows a thing or two about setting up Cobras.

Re: Suspension set up

Nice one! I hope you have a good day for it.

Are you going to make the run there and back in a day?

Re: Suspension set up

Hi Kev

I plan to take her down and leave the car there and get train back. that way they have plenty of time to test drive and make the necessary adjustments. I am hoping it just needs setting up and nothing more, I have got a annoying squeek which I think is pobably nothing more that a dry joint

Cheers

James

Re: Suspension set up

James,

If you get bored while at Cheng Lim's you can pop in for a cuppa as I'm only a couple of minutes away from him.

If you're any good with electrics you could help me fix my gauges
