Re: Sunday Times

I'm guessing you mean about the "things you never knew about the speed limit" piece? In which case the question is has anyone had a bash at replicating the 170MPH blast up the M1 (the one that was the catalyst for the current 70MPH limit being imposed).

That'd be wrong wouldn't it

Yes, that would be very very wrong and as the forum admin, I would never advocate any member trying it.

Personally, I never go over the speed limit.

Rob

PS, Speed doesn't kill, the inappropriate use of speed kills.

Re: Sunday Times

I never exceed the speed limit either. The fact that it is my own PERSONAL limit shouldn't matter... should it?

Re: Sunday Times

For some reason I thought I'd read somewhere that the cobra/M1 story was not the real reason why we have a 70 mph limit, wasn't it a different car to a cobra?
