| SVA Tomorrow!! Well the time has come to take the car for it's SVA I'm off to the Edmonton (North) centre of which I know no one that has used it. The cars as ready as I can get it but as most of you do, I expect to do a revisit. Still couldn't sort out my water temp gauge but that's not an SVA fail anyway. All this and my 10 month old son was rushed in hospital with breathing difficulties yesterday |

| Re: SVA Tomorrow!! Well on a really good note the little'un is home and on the mend Sadly the failed but nothing serious, speedo not consistent, dropped from 50 to 40mph and is 5 mph too high. Also, failed on the bolt that holds the number plate light on (as supplied by Dax). My bloody speedo packed up on the way there but the guy at the SVA centre was absolutely fantastic and allowed me to sort it up on their ramp. Noise went through at 97 decibels Needed 2 tie wraps fitting, one on the water temp pipe and one around the fuel pipe. Gave me a couple of pointers for other stuff look at and pointed out a couple of bits Dax could do better The number plate bolt will be a straight swap with a domed head and I will add a couple more washers to the prop bolt so there is more to pick up on. Jeff the SVA tester was fantastic and new Dax cars really well as he once built one!! He also builds V8 engines as a hobby for drag cars. Back there either tomorrow or Wednesday. |
