Help wanted with Dutch Cobra contest

Hi Cobra fans,

The Dutch Cobra club will be organizing a special two-days event for its members. I need your help with one particular part of this event: the contest to select the best/most beautifull Dutch Cobra. We plan to split this contest into four categories:
  1. Best looking Cobra
  2. Cobra with best engine bay
  3. Cobra with best sound (this specially will be a lot of fun)
  4. Best overall Cobra
Does anyone have experience with organizing such a contest. I'am looking for regulations and a list of items per category on which the jury can mark their evaluations (Word or Excel-format if possible).

Thanks in advance.

Re: Help wanted with Dutch Cobra contest

We normally do a similar thing at our national meets etc, however the winner is chosen by the members.

We give the members a slip of paper on entry with the 4 categories and a space to put the registration number or their chosen car. They hand them in to the organiser and then we count up the number of votes per car. This also means that there is no favouritism for a particular marque by any of the judges.

For us, this was the easiest way to judge the cars, as everyone will have a different view of what they are looking for, and at the end, we have a winner chosen by the club members.

HTH

Hi Cors,

Don't any of us Brits get invited to your Cobra event then??!!!

I am sure a few of us would be interested. If so what dates are you planning and what location.

We promise not to hijack your contest for most beautiful Cobra. HONEST!!

Re: Help wanted with Dutch Cobra contest

Hi David,

We have discussed this in the organising committee. It is the first time in many years the Dutch Cobra Club organises such a big event. Although we are very positive, we don't know yet what the respons from our Dutch Cobra fans will be. If this works out, we know what to expect, and have some experience in organising the event, next years event will very probably be open for our Cobra friends from abroad. In that case, you are more then welcome!! ( This gives us one extra year to upgrade our cars for the extra competition )

Hope to see you some day.

Yes, and there were over 50 (Dutch!) Cobras present....... Unfortunately I wasn't there, but it was a great success.

Re: Help wanted with Dutch Cobra contest

Hello,

if you want to see some pictures of the event, try the link below !!!

http://www.xs4all.nl/~rdelaat/cobra/cobrameet/

The weather was perfect and the event was great. This was my first visit to a event with my Cobra. Hopefully the next event I will have the proper license plates, so I can stay longer.

It was really great fun

Kind regards,

Rocco Jansen
