Soft-top, wobbly bottom

Can anyone help with two questions please:

1. I'm just about to fit my soft-top for the first time to my GD427 and have realised that I have to get the bolts to go into the body at the back of the hood, but I'm concerned I may be missing something where the hood joins the top of the screen.

I have the two clips at either side of the hood that clamp the side of the screen, but the metal bar that runs inside the front of the hood is in two pieces - am I missing parts or clips to hold it down in the centre or join the two steel halves?

2. The ally panel under the front where my oil cooler is mounted rattles a lot on the rough London roads. It's only bolted at either side. I was thinking of bolting it to the fibre glass body at the front with some thick rubber between, to cut down the vibration and also try to secure it better at the back. Has anyone got any ideas please - or is there a reason for it being mounted the way it is?.

All help would be appreciated...
Pat

There is a gap in the middle top of the screen, and there is a lug in the middle of the hood bows that fix to the screen. Place one side of the hood bows in the middle of the screen (you need to push it in and then pull it down to the clips and the lug will slide back into the middle of the screen and hold it in place. Do the same thing for the other side.

Any problems or if you want a demo, give me a buzz and I can pop in on my way home from work.

Rob

My Son had a toy steering wheel which he used to spin furiously, making loads of go-faster noises, leaning into all the tight corners, perhaps running the government feels a bit like that. You make all the noises, but when you stop you haven't really gone anywhere.
