Getting Ready for Le Mans

Well carried out the last minute jobs I always seam to leave till the last minute.

1 First off fitted a remote oil filter and believe it or not the head unit has a pin hole in the casting. Too late to change it now and as I have just carried out another oil and filter change I am not going to take it off, so am hoping a drop of Arildite will sort it till I get back to fit a replacement.

2. Went to out Meet today and My car started to stutter slightly on full throttle in 3rd gear, but not 2nd. Has done this a couple of times in the past but put this down to needing a service and a loose contact I found on the MSD. Well today it was much worse and I have finally found that it is ( Hopefully ) the fuel pump which is packing up I have a filter King with a pressure dial on it and if I keep just reeving it the pressure goes to ZERO on the dial, so unless it is the filter king blocking it, It has to be the fuel pump.

By the way I am setting off tomorrow night for Le mans

Just phoned the boss and luck ally he has let me have tomorrow off so hopefully I will get it all sorted, or else it will be the Tin Top

Re: Getting Ready for Le Mans

Chris, you are a total and complete star Looked at all the plumbing on the back and found that when I did up the jubilee clip on the cheap crappy plastic filter it had slightly collapsed the pipe letting air in and then started to work it's way off as it was no longer tight. Just bought a big aluminium proper filter, fitted and gone for a blast and all is well.
I owe you one big style for that Cheers
