Sold my Cobra and

After 1 year of ownership I have been forced to sell my Cobretti Viper, as moving house every 6 months and Cobra ownership are hardly compatible. She was my first car, and my pride and joy and the realisation of a childhood dream. Watching her being driven off by the happy new owner was very painful!
I am going to miss other drivers coming up to me in the petrol station and commenting on how spectacular my car looks; kids shouting out 'nice car mister'; all heads turning towards me at traffic lights; jealous looks from guys in conventional sports cars that cost a fortune; friends and strangers asking for a rides and most of all I will miss the wind in my hair, the roar from the sidepipes, the effortless surge on pressing the accelerator and the thrill in my heart when driving her!
A warning to present and future Cobra owners. Selling your car is like losing your only Child! All that is left afterwards are bittersweet memories. Bitter because you know that no other car you will ever own can match the experience of owning a Cobra.
Au revoir and good night everyone. I am leaving to go drown my sorrows.

PS: My thanks to the members of this forum who have patiently answered my many questions in the last year. You guys (and girls too), made Cobra ownership an even greater pleasure.

Re: Sold my Cobra and

Nirmal I don't know how you could do it
I've moved 4 times in 3 years but always kept a garage in which to build and keep the Cob.
Sincere regrets.

Re: Sold my Cobra and

My sumo, which is nearly nearly finished (just cockpit to do now) started life in stevenage, then went to chippenham, then went to surrey and now lives in sussex. Its done a good few hundred miles on a trailer over the years i've been building. always told my missus that a garage was mandatory if we were to live together. :_-)
