| Stiff Clutch I'm going to look at a part built cobra at the weekend, and the owner says it has a stiff clutch and could do with being replaced with a hydraulic clutch. Would this make much of a difference? are hydralic clutches designed with a reduction ratio (ie bigger cylinder bore at the clutch end to reduce the pressure required on the peddle? If this was the case then the travel on the clutch actuator would be less The only obvious advantage I can see is friction in the cable is eliminated

| Re: Stiff Clutch Paul - yes hydraulics will allow you to adjust the effort ratio more easily than a cable clutch. Decreasing the bore size of the master cylinder will reduce the pedal effort, but will also increase the pedal travel. Opposite at the slave end. Regards, Tim.
